PNG Residents prepare for Samoa clash
By WENDY KATUSELE

THE Resident Kumuls went into camp on Friday as they prepare for a short tour of Samoa.

Coach Michael Marum said they will be doing more sessions today before they fly to Cairns tomorrow in preparation for the trip to Apia.

Former Kumuls centre Gimapau Keimelo and Mabey and Johnson Muruks forward Simon Young have been added to the squad with all the players from the Challenge Cup game against Northern Pride retained.

The Resident Kumuls will meet Samoa’s national resident side in the opening game on March 7.
It is unclear whether the Samoans would have any international players in the side but whatever team they put on the paddock will still be much bigger than the Kumuls.
Marum said one of the biggest problem in the game against Pride was poor communication and that is something they want improved before the Apia game.

The PNG side has to win this game to regain some lost pride when the North Queensland Cowboys feeder club nailed them 38-8 in Cairns two weeks ago
