Eric, who has been with Mobil (PNG), is the man behind those beautiful gardens seen at all Mobil Service stations within the city.
He has been around long enough to see Port Moresby city grow to what it is today.
Meet Eric Gawam from Mapos number two village in the Mumeng District of Morobe province.
Eric was born sometime in 1942 and has lived all his life in the city. He currently resides at Tokarara with his sister.
When asked whether he had any family, he laughed and replied, "nogat ya! Mi wanpis istap." (No, I live on my own).

And he loves his job so much that he appeals to the public to look after the environment and make the city green and beautiful.
